The only problem is the wide grills, I much prefer the narrow kidneys. Also the amount of money it’s going to sell for, although I guess I don’t need a 401k, an E34 M5 touring is a much better idea.

It’s GREEN. It’s a TOURING. It’s a THREE POINT EIGHT.

I wouldn’t nitpick the grills.

But yeah, it’ll be big monies - and you need to do your due diligence in verifying that the car belongs here - it’s not 25 years old.

Not sure the SC DMV would know any better, but that’s going to go for A LOT of money.

The speedometer was replaced during federalization, though all other gauges are Euro-spec. The odometer currently shows 184k miles according to the seller, who notes that a chip from a 528i Touring was retrofitted during importation and believes true mileage to be approximately 37k lower. An M5 chip was subsequently reinstalled.

This feels weird to me.

It is going to end up selling for too much money.

I know, I know. People are willing to pay it because wagon and because rare.

But you would honestly be better off buying an E34 M5 sedan and a clean E34 525i touring and combining the two. Or even just buying an E34 touring and swapping an S52 or S54 into it.

The amount this will go for is just too much money to spend on an E34.

Wouldn’t surprise me - - not easy to find a big engine E34 M5 Touring in the US.

Probably yeah - and me not being an import rule export, I’d be pretty wary of any car under 25 years old brought here.

The only thing that might hold it back a little is the 184k on the odometer, but it will still probably be stupid money because Touring.

He needs this in 10 years or so when he has a brood of little E90s to carry.

Well, it’s 2 and counting right now. Any more and he’s going to be asking questions about a rear-facing 3rd row.

Silly, those won’t fit in a wagon. He’ll need a hitch and trailer for them.

Even more difficult to do so in Canada.

In fact, even regular E39 M5s are harder to come by :(

That stinks- but you could import this car more easily- it’s under 25 years old, so hard in the US.
